Guidance for paying at retail outlets
- Sign the signature panel on your card as soon as you receive it.
- Memorise your card's CVV and keep it blacked out so it isn't visible to onlookers.
- Keep your card and the POS machine in sight throughout the transaction — ask to swipe it yourself if possible.
- Use your card only at reputed, reliable merchant outlets.
- Make sure the card is swiped in your presence.
- Check that the card handed back to you is actually yours, and keep the merchant receipt.
- Register for SMS alerts on card usage.
- Review your account statement and transactions regularly.
