Unclaimed Deposits / Inoperative Accounts

How to claim an unclaimed deposit or reactivate an inoperative account.

Process

Account holders (including all joint holders) or claimants must visit the nearest Baghat Bank branch in person, with the following:

  • For individuals: original photo ID and address proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Ration Card, Driving Licence, or Voter ID — any one), plus a colour photograph.
  • Account number/deposit details matching the unclaimed list, along with a copy of the passbook or deposit receipt.
  • Copy of PAN card.
  • Copy of a recent utility bill (telephone, electricity, or gas).
  • Self-attested copy of current address proof, with the original for verification.
  • For entities: original proof of existence and address, plus a signed Claim Form on the entity's letterhead from an authorised signatory, along with their own ID and address proof.
  • A written request to reactivate the account.

If the account belongs to someone deceased, the nominee or legal successor should approach the nearest branch for guidance. For further documentation questions, contact any branch or the bank's phone service.
